About the Artist

I am a qualified Architect and a Self-taught Artist with many years of creative experience. Despite choosing architectural education, art has always been present in my life and has had a significant influence on my perception of the world. I inherited my love and passion for art and painting from my mother, which started my journey into art. After taking a break in order to concentrate on architecture, I returned to creating artwork in 2007 and focused on abstract painting and life drawing.

Art and the creative process of articulating abstract thoughts fascinate me, and I am constantly discovering new areas in art which I wish to explore.

As an artist, I seek to create an emotional response evoked by nature, landscape or sounds and express it through dramatic impressions of strong textures, the composition of shapes, marks, patterns and contrasting colours.
